I stand for this:
That whatever it is you desire, you can have.
That whatever you imagine, you can create.
That your unique gifts and strengths will be embraced by the world when offered in service.
That once you step onto this path, your potential is unlimited.
That you can choose to have all of these, or none.
about me
I’m a recovered sleep-walker who has transitioned from being an orthopedic physician assistant to a mindset and performance coach. After going AWOL in life, I was awakened by a year-long crash and burn as prolonged career burnout met a midlife crisis. Transformed and inspired by coaching, I’ve changed careers at mid-life to follow a more congruent path, and to help empower men to redefine themselves, achieve their highest potential, and live the life they could if only they’d get out of their own damn way.
Then & Now
2010
Physician Assistant in Orthopedics with Kaiser Permanente
Married with children, oh good.
I am a cog in the wheel
Life seen as unfair and burdensome
Teetering on overwhelm by parenthood, marriage, career
Pushed over brink with birth of our second child in 2010
Downtrodden whiner
Self-medicating with drugs, booze, TV, extreme sports
Absentee parent, even when home
Brink of divorce in transactional marriage
Few friendships, even at work
Sees other men as competitors
2020
Self-employed Mindset and Performance Coach
Married with children, so great!
I roll with boldness and confidence.
Life teeming with opportunity.
Yep, a happy life takes some work, but it’s easy
Learning from my children (I am a willing, but thick-headed student)
Optimistic, energetic and engaged leader at home and work
Meaningful work doesn’t require numbing or avoidance
Completely present and very self-aware
Marriage repaired and thriving
New friendships and better existing connections
Sees other men and women as potential collaborators and friends
